This product will detect any camera, either wired or wireless, by picking up the horizontal oscillator frequency, 15.75 KHz, radiated by video cameras. Once the video camera is detected, its location can be quickly determined by the five-step LED meter and Sensitivity control. Tests with various cameras show a detection range of up to 2 feet, depending on the type of camera.

Some products will detect only the presence of wireless cameras by searching for the rf frequencies emitted by the transmitter. But, our PSC-1001 will detect both wired and wireless cameras by detecting the camera itself. This hidden camera detector eliminates the need to have 3 or 4 RF detectors in order to detect or surveil a premises for wired and wireless hidden cameras.
