Infrared LEDs, Day-Night Cameras

An infrared camera changes to black and white at night or in darkness. A built-in sensor detects the change in light, turns off the color ccd, turns on the infrared illumination and you see in black and white. Clarity and distance will be dictated by the size of lens and quality and quantity of infrared illuminators.

There are probably as many different quality LED illuminators as there are cameras. We have selected only the best in each category to offer to you.

We offer a "Covert" infrared illuminator LED. This simply means that these LEDs cannot be seen at night. They are basically invisible to the human eye in the dark. Some customers do not want their cameras to be noticed at all at night. These LEDs are slightly more expensive and may not always offer as good a lighting as our other LEDs.

We also have a number of different quality and quantity LEDs on different cameras. We have matched them with the appropriate size lens for viewing. For example, there is no reason to offer a 3.6mm camera the can see 100 ft. at night if everything is so small you cannot distinguish it anyway.

Infrared, Day/night, IR cameras. These are all the same terminology. We carry a wide selection of Day/night infrared cameras. Many of these also come in a wireless version. Some are even in a outdoor wireless version. You can save money by simply purchasing a transmitter and receiver and build your own wireless camera. It isn't hard to convert one of these cameras into a wireless. Select between 2.97mm to 25mm lens. Color during daytime and automatically switch to black and white at night. Economy infrared cameras have black and white all the time and infrared LEDs only turn on in the dark. Our best infrared camera has a color picture during the daytime and at night it automatically turns on 104 Leds that are invisible in the dark. We have the best surveillance equipment.
