The Remote Witness system allows you to record and display multiple cameras simultaneously from a remote location or the from camera site itself. In addition, the system allows independent configuration of each camera to activate recording when motion is detected. User can define areas of motion detection.
The Remote Surveillance Multi-Cam System includes the RW-1401 Video Capture Card with 4 video input jacks, Remote Surveillance Multi-Cam licensed software, and a detailed user's manual.
A minimum of 10 gigabytes of hard drive per camera is recommended. This will allow you to record approx. 30 days of video per camera at 7 FPS. One camera on a card will allow approx. 30 fps, 2 cameras on card will allow approx. 15 fps, etc. Each video capture card is designed to handle from 1 to 4 cameras. The Remote Surveillance package can be used with wireless or hardwired cameras. A maximum of 4 wireless 2.4GHz cameras per package can be used due to only 4 channels of 2.4GHz frequencies.
Additional info:
There is also 1 video output jack per card. This jack operates in conjunction with camera #1. You may send video to a VCR or TV with this jack.
You can combine 12 wired and 4 wireless cameras for up to 16 cameras (RM-16 cam).
The Remote Surveillance Multi-cam System will work with any of our Micro-wired, Micro-wireless, Hidden, and Surveillance cameras.
Special Note:
If you are shopping around, check frame speed/rate when using more than 4 cameras. Many other products use only 1 card even with more than 4 cameras. They may call it a daughter card. This means the cameras still share only 30 frames per second or whatever the only pci card advertises. This is the primary reason we provide a separate pci card for each 4 cameras. When you order the RM-16, you get 4 pci cards. All cards and software is licensed authorized Remote Witness
