Transmitters & Receivers

If you don't want or are unable to run cables from your camera to your vcr/monitor/tv, then you will need a transmitter and receiver. All of our wireless versions of cameras come with the transmitter and receiver. However, some of our cameras are not offered in a wireless version, and that is when you need a transmitter and receiver from this group.

There are several different types of wireless transmitters and receivers. 434Mhz, 900Mhz, 1.0Ghz, 1.2Ghz, and 2.4Ghz. Each different frequency has it's own advantages and disadvantages. For instance, the 434Mhz does not need a receiver, because that frequency is used by cable television, so all you have to do is put your TV on a certain channel, and it will view the signal.

2.4Ghz sometimes has trouble with 2.4Ghz cordless phones. This happens because they are both using the same frequency range, so they both can interfere with each other.
